Here is a collection of some of my poems that everyone can enjoy

A Lonely Night (Oct 2018)

A lonely night, not bright, not bright.

I was sitting on a log and humming a tune,

not far in ways and paths was a cool leaf shaped lagoon.

On the banks of the lagoon ,I was thinking about the old tales I knew,

and also the famous land where the bong trees grew.

I walked and walked, and talked and talked, to myself on the way to the warm sweaty town .

Then I got to my hut and found a nut on my table.

Then in the old patch of hay,

for there I lay down for the rest of the night , which was not bright,not bright.

The Tale of Bleetingham (Jan 2019)

This is the tale of a little lamb;

Who went to the town of Bleetingham;

Little Lamb liked it there;

But did not dare;

To go there again;

For there were:

Foxes and sheep:

And Cars that don’t go Beep;

In Bleetingham;

And Gnomes locked in homes:

Would be servants;

And the kindest ones are called;

Gnervants!

Birds would swim;

And fish would fly!

And doesn’t that make you satisfied!

Remembrance (Nov 2018)

Many red poppies,

One beside the other,

Remember armies who fought for us,

When they had barely any cover,

The tale leads to sorrow,

Your far relatives would be there at the time,

Fighting was the army and building burrows,

It would rain,

And it would be full of mud and dirt,

Many died for us there in pain!

City Nights Out (Jan 2019)

I grabbed my lamp ,

The ground was damp,

And very few were awake,

For it was very very late,

Lights were out,

Night was around,

And the whole city tired,

Tired out,

I stared and stared with little care,

Of what would happen next,

I went back home ,

Down the lonely road,

For that was a city night out.

Free Dog (Jan 2019)

Free dog was the retriever I saw yesterday,

To be free,was that it’s destiny?

The terrier in park, the one running past us?

Where did it go!

The cat by the car,was that free cat?

Said my sister as she sat,

What are free animals called?

“Stray,my dear!”

Said Daddy drinking beer,

And that was everything I wanted to know!

THE WORLD OF STORIES (Jan 2019)

In a field huge and bright;

Filled with the buttercup and bluebells light;

Near that was a hollow sorrow place;

Where a lady who wore a lace;

Cried till she became a weeper;

Near the corner of the room was a gang called the creepers;

I think you could guess why;

And to add to that they also lie;

Beneath the tree where the cat;

Would chase the tiniest of black rats;

Many say the slide;

Would make you glide;

Down the bridge and up the ride;

And of course that would make you tired;

The creepers would hide;

In a cottage not at all wide;

A cow would cross a bridge ;

And then name it’s calf Sidge!

Tabby cat with ginger stripes;

The Lace wearing lady wipes

Off her tears at the sight of Tabby ;

And her favourite rabbit Rabbie;

Barney Doggy wags his tail;

As the baby wails!
