The way through the woods
(PART ONE)
‘Forgive me,Forgive me,’said the man in the woods,
To his fair lady, ‘I could,I could!’
Then by the twist of the path,a dog running free,
It’s heart merrily, filled with glee,
A mile away, over a copse or two,
Cutting down trees, making buildings that were new,
(PART TWO)
Then back a few steps, at the park where we left,
An animal,It’s paw’s sore!
And back yet again,a farm, with very few hens!
To the park we go!A child on the slide,oh, what a glide!
A child on the swing, take off like the flap of a wing!
Younger ones on the seesaw,
DOWN,UP,DIVE,whoops!
That is the way from the woods to the park,
I must go, It’s getting dark!
